Position Summary

The LEAD Manager is responsible for the strategic management of land acquisition and lot production processing from land entitlement to finished lots. The position also oversees a subset of individuals within the LEAD team to create and design neighborhoods that align with company needs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the LEAD team members in the region that is in alignment with company vision, mission, and values
  • Cultivates the personal, spiritual, financial, and professional growth of employees through open communications and weekly 1:1's
  • Oversees the Acquisitions Specialist and Entitlement-Development Research Specialist, establishing direction, priorities, and goals
  • Organizes production calendar and directs other departments on actionable work products for lot building
  • Networks effectively with brokers, realtors, engineers, and city officials
  • Collaborates with the regional team to design neighborhoods that fit the product mix and sales pace
  • Recognizes costs associated with the land development process and effectively communicates the information to department and Company leadership
  • Collaborates with the Director of LEAD and Leadership to devise a land and lot purchasing strategy that will provide enough finished lots in the region's desired school districts
  • Identifies the training and development needs within the department
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations


Qualifications and Skills

  • Four (4) years of project management experience
  • Ability to demonstrate effective leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in land or development planning, preferred
  • Strong negotiation and listening skills, required
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license and clean driving record to drive a company vehicle

Hours and Schedule

  • Full Time
  • Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm.
  • After hours and weekends required on occasion.


Work Environment and Physical Requirements 

  • Works in temperature-controlled office environment, with low noise levels
  • Prolonged periods of sitting required
  • Occasionally required to walk, stand, lift, climb, pull, or push objects weighing up to 20 pounds
